Dock Seal Supply manufactures custom compression loading dock seals in Tyler, Texas. Every seal is cut, sewn and framed to the opening it is going on — there is no catalogue size, and a custom build costs the same as a standard one because every unit is made to order anyway.

We have been doing this since 2019, out of a decade of manufacturing experience before that. Seals are made by a dedicated team, one at a time. There is no assembly line, and there is no third party between you and the shop.

How our seals are built

Our standard build is a 7′4″ wide by 8′ tall opening. Anything else, we build to spec. Mounting brackets are included.

We also build dock bean bags

Heavy-duty industrial cushioning that absorbs impact and protects the dock and trailer during loading and unloading. Same shop, same materials, same people.

Where we ship

Anywhere in the United States. You can also pick up in Tyler if you are close enough — we are on State Highway 64 West, and plenty of East Texas customers do exactly that.

Lead time

Weeks, not months. That is the honest answer, and if we are running longer than usual you will be told before you order rather than after. Dock seals have an industry reputation for slow delivery, largely because orders route through distributors. Ours do not.

What a dock seal is actually doing for you

Four things, in rough order of what people notice.

• Conditioned air. An unsealed dock door is a hole in your building. In an East Texas August that is expensive, and in January it is expensive in the other direction.
• Weather. Rain driving into the gap between trailer and building lands on your product and your floor.
• Dust and pests. Anything that can get through a four-inch gap will.
• Safety. A dry, sealed dock plate is a dock plate people are not slipping on.

Who we build for

Warehouses and distribution centres, cold storage, food processing, manufacturing plants, municipal and school district facilities, and plenty of single-door operations that just need one seal done properly. One door or a whole row — the build is the same.

Looking after it

Walk the row once a month. Foam that does not spring back means trailers are stopping too close, which is usually worn bumpers rather than a bad seal. Seams opening up means thread — ours is UV-protected and double-stitched for exactly that reason. Wear on one side means drivers are backing off-centre, and the hi-vis stripe is there to fix that before it costs you a pad.
